Hypnotic Gastric Band: Procedure in Detail

The process of 'implanting' a Cressingham Virtual Gastric Band^© consists of 6 stages:

1) Initial consultation - FREE of charge *This session may be conducted by telephone if required.

This is to:

establish an eating and weight history also psychological and medical profile. You do not have to be morbidly obese to qualify for the programme – maybe you only need to loose a couple of stones.
to explain the process fully; the WILL-STOP Hypnotherapy^© process, aftercare policy, initial 2 week nutritional/eating plan and maintainance programme.
to talk about the major lifestyle and dietary changes you will face after the procedure. You will be given a full account of the emotional and physical challenges you may encounter after the Virtual Gastric Band has been 'implanted' in your mind.
answer any questions you may have
for me to assess your hypnotic susceptibility, as these techniques are very powerful

This session lasts between 45-60 minutes and only those that I feel will be able to cope with the WILL-STOP Hypnotherapy^© techniques, have good psychological profile and be able to follow the aftercare/nutritional guidelines will be admitted to the programme.

You will be told at the end of the session if you have been accepted.

N.B. I may need to write to your GP or other medical/psychological practitioner for their consent to you having the procedure. If they say it is not suitable for you I will not proceed and any deposit moneis will be refunded forthwith.

When you have been accepted you will follow the following programme. There are slight variations on the programme format; these are discussed at the bottom of the page.

2) First Session (1 hour)
During this session I will ask many questions about your relationship with food. We will work out what you need to do to eliminate the trigger problems and limiting beliefs you have, so you are able to move forwards with your life and be successful with the Virtual Hypnotic Gastric Band.

3) First Treatment Session (up to 2 hours)
This is where the WILL-STOP Hypnotherapy^© begins. An individual programme will have been created specifically for you from the information given in the First Session. The programme is designed to help you eliminate any blocks to why you have not succeeded in weight loss previously. It will also give you the 'will power' destroy any bad eating habits you may have and stop the overeating triggers from firing. It will also boost your inner resources and give you the confidence to succeed.

4) Second Treatment Session (1 hour approx.)
Virtual Gastric Band 'implantation'. I introduce the concept of you being full on a small amount of food, this helps you to ‘shrink’ your stomach substantially. We then go on to creating the Cressingham Virtual Hypnotic Gastric Band^©. You will 'feel this being tightened' round the top part of your stomach so you can eat only a small amount of food. (The process is fully explained in Session 1 before we start).

5) Full After-Care Programme provided

(Follow-up Sessions; max 60 minutes, if required)
1 or 2 30 minute telephone follow up sessions to help with any questions you may still have.

6) Adjustment: When you have lost the weight you require you just book your appointment to have the 'band' moved so that you can eat more but only enough to maintain weight. (1 hour).

Variations

It is usual to complete the whole programme in one day, (excluding the Initial Consultation), When completed in one day the sessions are broken up with restbreaks of which one will be an hour long.

It is possible to alter the format to suit an individuals needs. It can be completed over 2, 3 or 4 hypnosis sessions. The best results are achieved when the prodedure is conducted on one day.

I charge for my time. All hypnosis work is a natural therapy and its effects vary from person to person dependant on the recipients ability to conform to the process and aftercare procedures. As such some people may find it highly effective and others will find only a slight effect on their condition. Therefore no warranty is given to the effects of hypnosis and refunds are not issued as you are paying for my time and you will have had this. You accept these terms in full when you book and undertake the Virtual Hypnotic Gastric Band or Balloon procedure.
